The warming centers are closed tonight (2/8), but we are prepping to open tomorrow and Monday nights (2/9-10) as temperatures continue to hover around freezing in rural Polk County. We will NOT be duplicating sites for this round -- only activating our rotating site, which is currently in Dallas.

DALLAS
Location: St Thomas Episcopal Church
1486 SW Levens Street

Important details:
  • Intake is 7-9 p.m. For the safety and courtesy of all guests, please check in during this time if possible. After hours, call 503-949-4987.
  • The warming center operates from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • Transportation can be arranged if needed.
  • Families and pets welcome.

As we get farther into Winter, we are running low on handwarmers. This is one of the most commonly requested items by our guests, and they are nice to have on hand (pun intended!). If you're in the Monmouth area, donations can be dropped off at Praise Assembly (189 Monmouth Ave. S) underneath the back overhang in the box labelled "warming center donations." In Dallas, they can be dropped at the Resource Center (Academy Building, Room 220). Just mention they are for the warming centers. This is one of the best deals on Amazon at the moment: 80 Pack Handwarmers.

Thank you for your support in keeping our neighbors warm!

Please help spread the word to your under-sheltered neighbors who need warm, dry, and safe place to sleep.
