Please watch the video below and complete/submit the acknowledgement form at the bottom of this page. You will sign a volunteer agreement and background check form on your first night volunteering. This is the primary training required to volunteer at the warming centers. General volunteers are especially needed for setup, intake, and cleanup. Please note: our Polk County volunteer numbers and overnight host hours may be a bit different, but we will be following many of the same protocols. We are offering a $100 stipend for staying overnight and plan to have two people on duty each night we're open. Hosts are required to attend a face-to-face training and view a de-escalation presentation in addition to the video required for general volunteers.
